Time tracking for Asana

Asana is where client work gets managed — Tidst turns the tasks you complete there into a timesheet, priced and ready to bill.

How it works

Finish the work. The timesheet writes itself.

Tidst connects through Asana's official API, watches the projects you pick, and lines up each completed task in The Queue with one question: how long did it take?

Completions become a queue

Complete a task in a watched Asana project and it lands in The Queue — even inside a client's own workspace.

Durations arrive filled in

Tidst can create five time tags (15–90min) in your workspace. Tag before you complete, and the duration is pre-filled.

Priced, ready to bill

Confirm an item and it's logged under the client's rate — straight into the billing extract, no re-entry.

The detail

Time tracking in Asana, for people who bill by the hour

Asana has native time tracking, but it lives on the Advanced plan and is built for teams estimating capacity — not a freelancer who needs tracked hours to become an invoice. Tidst approaches it from the other side: the work you already completed is the record.

Instead of running a timer next to Asana, Tidst reads your completions and asks one question per task. Confirm it, and it's logged, priced and ready for the billing extract. It never edits or completes your tasks.

Setting it up

  1. Sign up at tidst.com. Free to use, no card.
  2. Open Connections and connect Asana. You authorize once through the official API.
  3. Pick what to watch. Only what you choose feeds The Queue.
  4. Complete your work. It's waiting with one question: how long did it take?
Questions

Does Tidst change my Asana data?

No. Tidst reads completions and can create the five time tags in your workspace if you ask it to — it never completes, edits or deletes tasks.

Does it work in a client's workspace?

Yes, as long as your Asana account is a member. You pick which workspace Tidst watches, and only tasks you complete are read.

Do I need a paid plan?

No. The API access Tidst uses is available on every Asana plan, Personal included.

What happens if I disconnect?

Your logged time in Tidst stays. Reconnect any time and The Queue picks up from your recent completions again.
