Bring your history over
Tidst reads a Toggl Track or Clockify export directly — no account connection, no API keys, just the CSV those tools already produce. Your entries, projects, clients, billable status and historical rates all carry over.
And nothing is written until you say so: the import shows you every project in the file, where each one will land, and what will be skipped — before a single entry is saved. Your billable history is not something to be surprised about afterwards.
Exporting from Toggl Track
- 1In Toggl Track, open Reports and switch to the Detailed report.
- 2Set the date range to everything you want to bring over — years are fine.
- 3Choose Export, then CSV.
Exporting from Clockify
- 1In Clockify, open Reports and switch to the Detailed report.
- 2Set the date range to everything you want to bring over.
- 3Choose Export, then Save as CSV.
Tidst recognises which tool the file came from on its own — you never have to say.
Coming from somewhere else?
Any CSV with a date, a duration and a description can come in. If Tidst doesn't recognise the file's shape, it shows you the columns it found and asks which is which — then the same review-before-write steps follow. Toggl and Clockify are just the two it knows by sight.
Importing into Tidst
Open Import in Tidst and drop the file in. Three steps follow:
- 1Clients — each client in the file, matched to one you already have or created fresh. You decide per client.
- 2Projects — every project with its hours and amounts, and where each one lands.
- 3Confirm — the full picture of what is about to be written, before it is.
Import the same file twice and nothing doubles: entries that already exist are recognised and skipped automatically.
