Rounding can differ per client

Rounding was one setting for the whole account. If you had an agency client billed in quarter hours and a direct client billed to the minute, you had to pick one and Tidst was quietly wrong about the other — it applied your setting to both and said nothing. That is the same failure as a rate that resolves to nothing: a number that looks like money and is not what you charge.

It is now part of an agreement, alongside the billing model and the price, and it follows the same order as your rates: a project's own agreement wins over its client's, which wins over your account setting. So a client can be billed in quarter hours with one project inside it billed to the minute.

**Changing it never changes the past.** Whatever applied when you logged an entry is stored on that entry, the same way its rate already is. Agree quarter hours with a client tomorrow and everything from tomorrow rounds to quarters; what you logged last month — and may already have extracted and sent them — stays exactly as it was. That also means a period you re-extract comes out the same as the first time.

Nothing changed for work already logged: entries written before today carry no stored increment, so they still follow your account setting as they always have.

A shared link rounds exactly as your own screen does. It reads the same stored value rather than working it out again, which is the one way the two could ever have disagreed.
