Time rounding: 6, 15 or 30 minutes

Settings offered two choices: none, or 15 minutes. If you are used to billing in tenths of an hour, or in half hours, Tidst had no answer for you — so it now offers 6, 15 and 30. Whatever you had is unchanged.

**The setting also said something untrue.** Its description read "round time entries to the nearest interval". It has never rounded to nearest. It rounds *up*, on every entry: at 15 minutes, a 16-minute task bills as 30. That is the ordinary convention and it is very likely what you wanted — but it should have said so, and now it does, with the example.

**Why 6, 15 and 30, and not 5, 10 or 60.** Six minutes is a tenth of an hour, which is what professional-services billing is built on and the only increment here with a reason beyond habit; 5 and 10 are decoration beside it. Sixty is not rounding — billing every entry as a full hour is a *minimum charge*, which is a different promise to a client, and it deserves to be built and named as one rather than hidden in a rounding menu.

One thing worth knowing if you pick 6: fifteen does not divide by six. A 15-minute entry rounds up to 18. On work that is already quarter-hour shaped — which is most of what reaches The Queue, since calendar events and Todoist duration labels arrive round — the finer increment is the dearer one.

Rounding still applies per entry and then adds up, never to an already-finished total, and a live shared report rounds exactly as your own screen does.
