One navigation on a phone

A phone had two ways to get around: a bar along the bottom and a menu button at the top of every screen. Four of the five places in the menu were already in the bar, so most of it was the same list twice — while the Calendar, for no reason anyone could name, was only in the menu.

The bar has three tabs, chosen by one question: what do you open Tidst to do when you are not at your desk? Confirm what you did, and see how the month is going. Clients and the extract had tabs and no longer do — you read the client register when something is wrong rather than daily, and an extract ends with lines pasted into an invoicing system, which happens at a desk. Both are one tap away under More, along with the Calendar, Report and everything else.

More is not the old menu with a new name. It is grouped by why you opened it: what is feeding your queue, what you came to look up, and your account. The channel list says whether each connection is actually delivering anything — a calendar you connected but never ticked a calendar in sends nothing, and it now says so.

Nothing was removed. Every screen is still reachable from a phone; three of them are honestly desk work, and drawing those for a phone is a separate job rather than something a menu can fix.
