The period stays where you left it

Improved

26 August 2026

The Dashboard and Report both forgot which period you were on the moment you navigated away. Step back to July, open the Queue to log something, come back — August. On screens whose whole subject is which stretch of time you are looking at, that was the one thing worth remembering.

Now they keep it, and they keep the same one: step back on the Dashboard and Report opens on the same period.

Two halves, remembered differently. **The grain — Week, Month or Quarter — is a preference,** so it sticks for good; if you think in weeks, Tidst opens in weeks tomorrow too. **Where you are is a position,** so it lasts as long as the tab. Come back the next day and you are on the current period again, which is almost always what you want.

**Today** sits beside the arrows. It is greyed out when you are already on the current period, so it doubles as an answer to "am I looking at this month or not?"

Tidst is a time tracker for freelancers.

It brings completed Todoist tasks and relevant calendar meetings into one place for review, so your timesheet does not start from memory. Free to use.
