About Tidst

Tidst is a web-based time tracking tool built for people who use Todoist. Track time without thinking about it. Every task you complete in Todoist lands in The Queue — ready for you to log time against. No timers, no memory required.

What is Tidst?

Tidst is a SaaS application at tidst.com that integrates with the Todoist task management platform. When you complete a task in Todoist, it appears in The Queue — with the task name, project, and date. If you added a time label (15m, 30m, 60m, or 90m), that duration is already filled in. Just review, adjust if needed, and approve.

Tidst is designed for freelancers, consultants, and solopreneurs who already use Todoist and want to track time without switching tools or remembering to start timers.

How It Works

  1. Connect Todoist: Sign up at tidst.com and authorize your Todoist account. Your projects sync automatically.
  2. Complete tasks: Work as usual in Todoist — on any device, any platform. Optionally add time labels (15m, 30m, 60m, 90m) to tasks.
  3. Review The Queue: Completed tasks appear in The Queue with task name, project, date, and pre-filled duration from labels. Just add hours and approve.
  4. Export reports: Generate PDF or CSV reports for invoicing, broken down by client and project.

Key Features

What Makes Tidst Different

Most time tracking tools require you to start and stop timers or manually log hours. Tidst works differently: The Queue captures your completed Todoist tasks automatically. You don't change how you work — Tidst captures the time data from what you're already doing.

With label tracking, you can log time without ever opening Tidst. Add a time label to a task in Todoist, complete it, and the duration is already in The Queue.

Those small 5-minute tasks add up. Complete them in Todoist — The Queue catches every single one. Freelancers using Tidst recover an average of +12 hours per month.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is The Queue?
The Queue is the heart of Tidst. Every time you complete a task in Todoist, it appears in The Queue — with the task name, project, and date. If you added a time label (15m, 30m, 60m, or 90m), that duration is already filled in. Just review, adjust if needed, and approve.
What are time labels and how do they work?
Time labels are standard Todoist labels — 15m, 30m, 60m, or 90m. Add one to a task before you complete it, and Tidst automatically picks up that duration when the task lands in The Queue. It's the fastest way to track time.
I always forget to track my time. Will Tidst help?
That's exactly why we built The Queue. Every task you complete in Todoist lands there automatically. You don't need to remember what you worked on. If you use time labels, the duration is even pre-filled.
How is Tidst different from Toggl or Clockify?
Toggl and Clockify are massive platforms for teams — their Todoist integration is just a Chrome extension. Tidst is built on Todoist, pulls in tasks via The Queue, and supports time labels for tracking directly from Todoist.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. Complete a task on your phone or Apple Watch — with a time label if you want — and it shows up in The Queue automatically.
How much does Tidst cost?
$3 per month. 14-day free trial, no credit card required. Cancel anytime.
Does Tidst work with all Todoist plans?
Yes — Free, Pro, and Business.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Export time entries as PDF or CSV reports from the report page.
What currencies are supported?
USD, EUR, and DKK.
Who is Tidst built for?
Freelancers and solopreneurs who already use Todoist and need a simple way to track billable hours.
How do I get started?
Create an account, connect your Todoist, and your completed tasks start appearing in The Queue. For label tracking, create labels named 15m, 30m, 60m, or 90m in Todoist. Setup takes less than a minute.
How do I cancel?
Go to Settings and cancel your subscription. You keep access until the end of your billing period.
